Ford/Greenwood Open Seniors 2017

Nine rounds—Tuesdays 30 May to 25 August 2017. FIDE and ACF rated; open to players over 60

Tournament Information and Rules

Location: Norths (formerly North Sydney Leagues Club), cnr Abbott & Palmer Streets, Cammeray.

Time: Games start at 7.30 pm.

Eligibility: Open to all players born 1957 or earlier.

Entry Fees: Norths Chess Club members $25; non-members $35.

Prizes1st: $150; 2nd: $100; 3rd: $50; U1600-1400: $50; U1400: $50
Only players with an ACF Standard rating at the start of the tournament are eligible for rating prizes.

RatingsResults will be submitted for FIDE and ACF rating. Players are not Australian residents must have a FIDE ID.

Format: Swiss pairing by Vega.

Time Controls: All moves in 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.

: The FIDE Laws of Chess apply. The Arbiter’s decision on any rules application shall be final.

Postponements and byes: Postponements are not permitted. Up to two half-point byes may be requested for rounds 1-7. Notice to the arbiter must be received by Saturday before the next round.

Forfeiture time:  One hour after the commencement of the round (at the Arbiter's discretion).
