Location and time: 7:30 pm, Norths (formerly North Sydney Leagues Club), cnr Abbott & Palmer Streets, Cammeray. 

Format: 8 round (Dutch) Swiss, with pairings by Vega.

EligibilityPlayers who are not Australian citizens or permanent residents must have a FIDE ID. Adult players must be members of or have paid a Registered Player Fee to the NSWCA. Juniors (aged under 18 years) must be members of the NSWJCL. Interstate players must be members of the equivalent State or Territory Association.

Entry Fee: Members $10. Non-members $20. Free for GM, WGM, IM,WIM.

Time Control: All moves in 13 minutes + 3 seconds increment per move from move 1.

Rating: A player's touranment rating (used for pairings and rating prizes) will be determined according to the following hierarchy:
  1. ACF Quick rating
  2. FIDE Rapid rating
  3. ACF Classic rating

Players without any of these ratings will be considered unrated. Results will be submitted for the ACF Quick and FIDE Rapid rating lists.

Prizes (prize fund based on a minimum 50 players, and a minimum of 3 eligible players is required for a prize to be awarded)
Open: 1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50
Rating groups: $60 for first in rating categories A and B (where these are the second and third tertile of rated players).
Unrated: $30

Byes: Players may take up to two half-point byes in Rounds 1–6 by advising the arbiter prior to Sunday midday before  rounds 1 and 5; and prior to the commencement of the previous round for rounds 2, 3, 4 and 6.

Tiebreaks: In the event of ties, prize monies will be shared. The winner and standings order will be determined by applying the following tiebreaks in descending order:

1. Direct encounter 
2. Buchholtz Cut 1 
3. Average Rating of Opponents Cut 1 

Rules: The FIDE Laws of Chess apply, including Appendix A: Rapid Chess and Appendix A.4.
