Two Tournaments (ACF & FIDE Rated):
Purdy Major (1400+): 90 mins + 30s increment from move 1
Purdy Minor (U1500): 60 mins + 30s increment from move 1

Players rated 1400–1500 may choose either event. Players under 1400 can qualify for the Major if they scored ≥66% in the 2025 Winter Classic Minor (with at least 50% of games played).

Venue: Norths (formerly North Sydney Leagues Club), Cnr Abbott & Palmer Sts, Cammeray
Start Time: 7:30pm sharp
Format: 9-round Swiss (pairings via Vega). Note: rounds may be adjusted if venue issues arise.

Prizes:

• Major: 1st $700 | 2nd $400 | 3rd $200 (Rating Groups: U1900, U1800, U1700, U1600, U1500 → $100 each)
• Minor: 1st $450 | 2nd $200 | 3rd $125 (Rating Groups: U1400, U1300, U1200, U1100, U1000, Unrated → $100 each)

Eligibility & Membership:
Players must hold a FIDE ID (non-citizens/residents should apply via their federation).
Adult entrants must be members of the NSWCA or another state association. Join here.

Ratings Used: ACF Classic (or FIDE Standard if no ACF rating). Results submitted to both lists.
